Refund Policy

All Sales Are Final – No Returns, No Refunds, No Exchanges

Due to the custom, handcrafted, and perishable nature of our cakes and baked goods:

  • Once an order is placed and confirmed (including any deposit or full payment), it cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.

  • Cakes and other perishable items are made-to-order specifically for you. They cannot be resold or reused for hygiene and food safety reasons.

  • After pickup or delivery, the product is considered accepted and becomes the sole responsibility of the customer.

Deposits & Payments

  • All deposits (typically 50% or as specified) are non-refundable and non-transferable under normal circumstances. They secure your booking date, ingredients, time, and custom design work.

  • Full payment is required 72 hours prior to pickup/delivery (or by the agreed deadline). Failure to pay in full may result in order cancellation with forfeiture of any deposit.

Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellations more than 7 days before the event date may be eligible for a store credit (minus any non-recoverable costs), to use at our discretion.

  • Cancellations within 7 days of the event date will result in no refund or credit — the full order amount remains due.

  • Minor changes (e.g., flavor adjustments) may be possible with at least 72 hours notice, subject to availability and potential additional fees.

  • Major design changes or date rescheduling after production begins may incur extra charges or be declined.

Quality & Satisfaction 

We take great pride in crafting beautiful, delicious cakes using high-quality ingredients. However:

  • Flavor, texture, and sweetness preferences are subjective.

  • Minor variations in color, design execution, or fondant appearance may occur due to handmade artistry and are not considered defects.

  • If there is a significant error on our part (e.g., completely wrong design theme or major structural issue reported immediately at pickup/delivery), we will work with you to correct it if possible before you leave. In rare cases where correction isn't feasible, you may decline the cake and receive a full refund (or credit) only if you do not take possession of the product.


 

Allergies & Special Requests Customers

You are responsible for notifying us of any allergies. We make every effort to accommodate requests, but we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment...Yet.

By placing an order with Sweet Retreat Cakes, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. We appreciate your understanding — it helps us focus on creating stunning custom cakes while protecting the viability of our small business.
